Cecily's passing has left all who love and cherish her soul in a state of great loss. Cecily's greatest fear about having cancer was the prospect of not being here to raise Maddie, who has special needs  --- though Maddie is incredibly high functioning intellectually, and may have a genius IQ. In less than 6 months of special classes (behavioral therapy that Cecily instantly enrolled Maddie in at age 2), her vocabulary evolved to that of a 4-5 year-old. By the end of the first year of classes, Maddie scored normal on standard examinations --- something the doctors described as nothing short of a miracle. Fortunately, Cecily had already put this therapy into effect before she left us.

Cec's illness and the subsequent absence of Mama have had a profound emotional impact on Maddie, now 7 years old. All who love Cec plan to see to it that Maddie receives the finest care no matter what the cost may be.

Cecily's loving family at Theatre West, where Cecily did some of her finest stage work, first set up a fund to help defray Cecily's excess medical expenses while ill, and continues the fund today on Maddie's behalf  --- funds will be used to offset the cost for Nannies and other needs. Cecily had requested that if any donations are ever leftover, that they go to Maddie's college fund.

Contributions can be made out to "Cecily Adams Fund"; no amount is considered too small.  Send to: Cecily Adams Fund, c/o Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd West, Los Angeles CA 90068

Donations may also be made for Maddie to the fund at, using the e-mail address  as the recipient.

God Bless all of you for the love and support that you showed to Cecily, and now to Madeline Rose.
